The width of functional drapes are determined by the rod or track you will be using.  They need to look beautiful and full when closed so rod width and height are the two most important numbers to calculate perfect panel sizes.  Fortunately, the Regal Drapes design tool will do all the heavy lifting and will calculate the panel size for any drapery style simply by entering the width and height of your curtain rod.
