Dressing Patio Doors
Designing drapes for patio doors can be particularly challenging. A pair of panels, center split, raises the issue of egress, while a single panel requires extra attention to the hardware. Clients want beautiful fullness when the drapes are closed, and an unobstructed view when they are open. There are many options and beautiful solutions to any patio door drapery need.

Patio doors are usually wide, so be sure to consider a sturdy drapery rod. Anything over five to six feet requires a support bracket, so a pair of panels is preferred. Remember that grommets cannot move past brackets, so again, a pair is the best solution.
A single panel may be the only option for some patio doors. Pinch pleat or tailored pleat drapes are still a great choice paired with decorative or utility traverse rods which provide ample support even for a heavy drapery panel.

Ripple fold drapes make an ideal choice for long patio doors. This option is beautiful, functional and works well with many styles and décor. A low profile, utility track is included with all Regal Drape ripple fold designs but there are many decorative pole sets available to elevate your look. Decorative poles can be fitted with carriers for both ripple fold drapes and drapes that use drapery pins such as pinch pleat drapes, tailored pleat drapes, inverted pleat drapes and flat panel drapes.
